History:
Tie Guan Yin is a tea variety documented since the 1700s. The Tie Guan Yin in Taiwan was first brought by immigrants from Anxi in Fujian, making it one of the oldest varieties introduced from the mainland to Taiwan.

Nantou Tie Guan Yin is even more distinctive:
The geographical climate suitable for fermentation.
Compared to the lightly fermented Tie Guan Yin in the north, the climate is the main reason; the north often experiences cloudy and rainy weather, which limits the fermentation time of the tea leaves. In contrast, the tea-producing season in the Mingjian area is mostly sunny and favorable after the sun comes out, with overall atmospheric humidity suitable for deep wilting and fermentation. Therefore, our Tie Guan Yin can have a more traditional high-fermented fruity aroma.
